Din Mounting Channels

Mounting Rails (channels) manufactured and Exported by AKcelport comply with DIN/IEC standards (IEC 60715 - Dimensions of low-voltage switchgear and control gear - Standardized mounting on rails for mechanical support of electrical devices in switchgear and control gear installations). DIN rails are available in 35 mm Top Hat section (7.5 mm and 15 mm deep), 32 mm ("G" Section) and 15 mm width. These channels are made of mild steel. Channels of 300, 500 and 1000 mm (with or without slot) are available as standard lengths. All channels are Alkaline Zinc plated with yellow or blue passivation. Channels with RoHS compliant plating are also available against special orders. Dimensional accuracy is ensured through gauging during manufacturing process. It is important that the channels used have accurate dimensions within permissible tolerances. If the mounting dimensions are less than specified then the attachment of the terminal blocks on these rails will not be strong enough and there could be problems of loose fittings and at times terminal blocks may get dislodged from the channel even in normal service conditions. If the mounting dimensions are more than specified limits, the terminal will fit tighter than required and it would be difficult to move terminals on the rail or dismount it from the rail. At times this may lead to breakage of terminal blocks made from Melamine (thermoset).

Test Terminal Blocks

The Test Blocks offer easy access for on site testing of Ammeters, KWH Meters, Maximum Demand Indicators, Trivector Meters, Relays and Instrument Transformers without disconnecting from load and avoid C.T. open circuit problems. Connections for testing can be easily made. The Test Block therefore becomes an important element of the Metering Solution. The Test Blocks are designed for projection mounting with front connection possibilities, designated with FC. The Test Blocks are for 3 phase, 3 wire with Neutral application for up to 50 A continuous rating at 600 V and generally conform to IEC 60947-7-1. The most popular 10 Way TTB has 10 Terminals in total, of which 6 are current terminals, 3 are voltage terminals and 1 are Neutral. The current terminals are separated into groups of 2 with inter-terminal shorting links for shortcircuiting of the CT terminals and testing. The base of the Test Block is made of excellent quality electrical grade black bakelite moulding powder. The base moulding is provided with integrally moulded barriers between the terminals for complete protection against flashovers. In addition, a bakelite shield is provided in front to avoid flashover or shorting at cable entries. A moulded shroud is provided for safety against the voltage terminals. We are engaged in manufacturing an extensive range Test Block 10 Way which are made by using premium quality raw material. These are known for smooth surface finish, long service life, durability and reliability. Our range caters to the needs of varied industries and are used in test equipment such as transformer ratio-meters and instrument transformer.

Test Terminal Blocks

These 4 Way Test Blocks are used for mounting on switchboard panels for use with proper test equipments to facilitate the testing of AC instruments, meters and relays. Technical Features Type TTB4W test blocks are 4-pole blocks, provided with moulded bakelite base and covers that have an arrangement of internal plug contacts, which make a through positive connection when the cover is in place. The contacts in the blocks are of the line pressure type and provide positive contact with minimum contact resistance. For all current circuits, auxiliary contacts are used which automatically short circuit the current transformer when the cover is removed. Routine testing can be accomplished simply by removing the cover and substituting the properly connected test plug. Thereafter, normal connections are restored by replacing the cover. Contact rating is 250 volts, 10 amperes continuously. Each TTB4 Test Block includes the Test Block and cover with a set of uncounted auxiliary contacts, jumpers, and screws in sufficient variety and quantity to provide the combinations to suit any application desired. Details of the Auxilliary Contacts provided are as below: Auxiliary contact C1 is equal to one pole of contact No. 1, to be used in connection with jumper shown in Figure. Auxiliary contact C2 is used to short circuit the current transformer when the cover or plug is not in place. Auxiliary contact C3 is used as bridge to maintain the circuit during the period that the cover or the plug is not in place. Without this connection, loss of revenue is possible because of interrupted operation if the replacement of the cover or plug is long delayed. Auxiliary contact C4 jumpers is to be used in connection with auxiliary contact C2 or C4, to serve the same purpose as C2 in short circuiting a current transformer, or to interconnect phases, when the cover fastening stud is to be bypassed. The Auxiliary contacts are furnished as a standard along with each TTB4w Test Block are - C1 - 1No., C2 - 2 Nos, C3 - 4 Nos. and C4 - 1 No.
